1. Group Care with Tailored Programs
Care Nest provides 24-hour residential group care for children and youth aged 2 to 17, in a welcoming, family-style home that accommodates up to eight residents. Our environment is designed to nurture emotional healing, personal growth, and a sense of belonging. Each child receives an individualized care plan that reflects their unique cultural background, developmental needs, and personal goals—grounded in trauma-informed practices, therapeutic supports, and holistic wellness.
We are deeply dedicated to helping Indigenous children reconnect with their culture and heritage. Our daily routines include smudging, traditional teachings, and participation in community ceremonies such as Round Dances and Sweats. These practices support healing, balance, and self-empowerment, encouraging every child to cultivate a healthy mind, body, and spirit.
Our team includes qualified clinicians, consultants, and Elders who work collaboratively to provide integrated care that addresses emotional, spiritual, and social wellbeing. Children are also engaged in a wide range of recreational and community activities, promoting connection, confidence, and joy.
In addition, Care Nest provides transportation and supervised visitation services to ensure children remain connected with family and community supports in a safe and caring way. Every caregiver is thoughtfully selected for their experience, compassion, and understanding of trauma and culture. Staff of Indigenous descent play a leading role in creating a traditional, respectful, and empowering environment where all children can thrive.

2. Emergency Placement or Short-Term Care
Care Nest provides safe, compassionate emergency placement for children and youth who require immediate housing, safety, or stabilization. Our home offers a warm, family-like environment where children can feel secure and supported while care coordinators, caseworkers, or guardians work to determine the next steps in their plan.
Children who have experienced crisis situations such as neglect, abuse, or family breakdown may be referred to Care Nest for temporary safety, stability, and emotional support while long-term living arrangements are established.
Our dedicated and professionally trained staff are available 24 hours a day to provide trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and emotional reassurance, always prioritizing each child’s dignity, comfort, and sense of belonging during times of transition.
At Care Nest, our goal is to ensure that every child who comes through our doors is met with understanding, structure, and compassion, helping them regain a feeling of safety and hope as they move toward a more stable future.

3. Respite Services (In-Home and Out-of-Home)
At Care Nest, we understand that families sometimes need time to rest, recharge, or focus on other responsibilities while knowing their children are in safe, caring hands. Our respite services are designed to provide that peace of mind through short-term, flexible, and compassionate support, available both in the family’s home or within our Care Nest home.
Each respite arrangement is tailored to meet the family’s individual needs—whether it’s a few hours, overnight, or several days of care. During their stay, children are welcomed into a warm, nurturing environment filled with structure, creativity, and connection. Our dedicated caregivers ensure each child continues to experience comfort, routine, and positive engagement while their family takes a well-deserved break.
Our goal is to strengthen families by providing reliable support when it’s needed most—helping parents and guardians restore balance while ensuring every child feels safe, valued, and cared for.
